The AIM4PIE® presentation will be a hands-on session which will give participants a comprehension look at the value this patented game kit will bring to any elementary PE program.  AIM 4 PIE, (Academics In Motion 4 Physical Intensity Everyday), is based on 200 individually lettered balls where students, working in teams, quickly find letters to build words and then perform physical objectives with the balls.  The collaborative concept is very naturally learned… words are just letters on a team! Any health concept may be delivered by playing AIM4PIE.

We will be playing the Healthy Heart PIE Picks activity during this demonstration. Students decide as a team which is the healthier choice and spell the word (see sample task cards below-complete set includes task cards for making healthy choices focusing on: Health- Exercise-Nutrition content).
I will also share my adjusted version of Dr Hellison’s levels of behavior for K-2nd grade students. (“If it works for you—it works.”)   And boy did it ever work! To witness very young students respond to the freedom of personal behavior self evaluation was one of the most powerful and effective class management tools I have ever used.
